Serving White Lake for 70 years

You may have driven past one of our locations, or even visited with your family over the years, but you may not know that for the better part of 125 years, Ruggles Farm has been run by a relative, or close relation, to the Ruggles family.

In the past, row crops such as soybeans, corn and wheat have been grown alongside plenty of acres of vegetables. Dairy and beef cattle once called the area home, too, but now we have a horse operation that boards horses for local riders, two market locations, hundreds of acres of crops, a busy mulch operation, and even a new Grand Stand event barn. Growth has always been a part of the plan for the Ruggles family, but our real focus has always been on providing for our local community.

There are a lot of pros and cons to running a family farm, but when you do it with heart, you can’t help but love all of it.

The Family

Ruggles Farm and Ranch has been a family run farm for over 70 years. The farm is operated by Fred and Phyllis Ruggles, John and Sarah Ruggles, Joel Ruggles, and Scott and Shelby Ruggles. If you visit our ranch, you may notice the historical sign out front. This accomplishment indicates the farm is a centennial farm. It has been owned by a family member for over 100 years. Everything began in 1894.
